Guide Tour : Estimate

Once you are authenticated by our Server, you will be provided with either a page for creating your estimate for the first time (as shown in the right) or a menu of functions for making another estimate, editing an existing estimate and creating a purchase order from an existing estimate.

To make a new estimate the user has to enter the Project Name ,Location and Labor Rate prevailing in that location.  We provide defaults that can be changed later.. After submitting the form the user will see another screen where they can select different items of different categories for their project. Since our database contains a large number of items, we have categorized them into different groups. First select a category from 15 types enter "Find it".  Then select a description of the item from the pull down menu.  Again Hit "find it".  This will bring you to the page of items matching this description.  Just find the size.  Enter the quantity and change the price if desired.  Labor  manhours to install is fixed.  Just select add at the right and add to estimate at the bottom of the page and this item(s) is complete.  Repeat these step to build your total estimate.

The matching records will be displayed in another screen with buttons to add a particular item to your current estimate.  

We have stored some basic prices of all the items in our database, however, if you feel like changing it, you can do so 

while adding it to your estimate.
